Milford holds September 11 ceremony at Jonathan Law Wednesday

The City of Milford, in partnership with Jonathan Law High School, will remember the events of September 11, 2001 with a “Day of Remembrance, Reflection, and Community Service.”

The opening ceremony for the official event will begin at 8:00a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2013, on the high school's football field, and will include a moment of silence in memory of Milford residents Michael Miller, Seth Morris, and Avnish Patel.  Milford's Police Department, Fire Department, and Veteran Honor Guards will present the colors.  The event will be held rain or shine, and all Milford citizens are invited to attend.

Following the opening ceremony, several activities are scheduled to commemorate the day including the “Red Bandana” charity walk in honor of Welles Remy Crowther and all those who perished in the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001.
