There will be something for everyone during the Downtown Milford Business Association’s October Hall-O-Weekend, from a costume parade to ghost stories.

To start off the season, on Oct. 21, a nostalgic 1950s tradition will return, as the windows of many retailers and restaurants will be decorated by the Platt Technical High School students. Visitors are welcome to stroll and vote for the best window decoration by posting a photo with the hashtag #VoteHalloWindow on the DMBA Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

A walking app called RoundGPS can be downloaded to facilitate a walking tour of the downtown and decorated windows. Photos can be posted at #HalloWeekendMilfordCT.

Next, on Oct 29 there will be a number of events for the Hall-O-Weekend.

The fourth annual Milford Trick or Trot 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 9 a.m at Lisman Landing, 37 Helwig Street.

The event is sponsored by the law firm of Harlow, Adams and Friedman, P.C. and Sikorsky Credit Union. All proceeds benefit Milford's Beth-El Center homeless shelter and soup kitchen. For more information and registration go to milfordtrickortrot@com.
