MILFORD — Milford Rotary Club has decided not to have its traditional lobster bake fundraiser this year, making it the second year in a row they’ve had to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rotary officials said they have every expectation to get the fundraiser up and running in 2022.

Instead of the fundraiser, this year, Milford Rotary Club will be holding a lobster dinner raffle.

Each ticket purchased will offer five chances to win, with the grand prize being a lobster dinner for 12. The lobster dinner will be shipped to the winner via FedEx anywhere in the continental United States.

Rotary officials said the raffle will fund the club’s charitable endeavors, especially the annual scholarship fund benefiting Milford students in their post-secondary education.

The raffle can be entered until Aug. 11 at 11 p.m. The winner will be chosen on Aug. 12.
