Pilates with Props — A body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility and long, lean muscles, strength and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips, and back. Tuesdays 6 to 7 p.m. at Margaret Eagan Center, $85; $5 non-residents fee. Starts on Oct. 1 and end Dec. 10. No class Nov. 5. Go to Milfordrecreation.org and create an account to register. Hatha Yoga — The Milford Recreation Department announces its fall Hatha Yoga sessions for adults with instructor Dee Stephens beginning on Monday, Sept. 9.

There are four classes. The first class is offered on Monday beginning Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. with a second class at 7:20 p.m. The Tuesday class begins on Sept. 10 at 6:15 p.m. while the final class is scheduled for Sept. 11 at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday mornings.

The classes will be run for 12 weeks and each class cost $60 for residents and $65 for non-residents. All classes will be held at Margaret Eagan Center.

Zumba — There will be fall Zumba Fitness sessions for adults with instructor Lynn Baglini beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 1.

Zumba is a Latin inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music and dance movements, which create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system.

The class is available to anyone 15 years or older.

The first class is on Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 11. The second class is on Thursday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will start on Sept. 12. Both classes will be held at the Margaret Egan Center Gymnasium and run for 14 weeks. The cost for either class is $90 for residents and $95 for non-residents.

Freestyle yoga — Freestyle Yoga class for adults with instructor Shelia Frankel begins on Monday, Sept. 15.

The class will run for 12 weeks and will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Margaret Egan Center in room 154; cost is $58 for residents and $62 for non-residents.

Fitness and wellness — The Milford Recreation Department announces its fall Fitness & Wellness and Dance and Fun Workout sessions for adults with instructor Shelia Frankel beginning on Monday, Sept. 9 for residents and non-residents.

The classes are intended for women who are interested in gently sculpting and re-shaping their bodies while gaining added relaxation, stress reduction and flexibility through light stretching and toning techniques in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Dance & Fun Workout classes are geared towards dancing your way to fitness while having fun.

The classes will run for 12 weeks and cost $58 for residents and $62 for non-residents. The Fitness & Wellness class is offered on Monday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Friday at 9:30 a.m. while the Dance & Fun Workout class is available Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. and Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Cardio core workshop — The Milford Recreation Department announces its fall Cardio Core Workout session for adults beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Cardio Core Workout is a fun and invigorating mix of cardio, core and strength training exercises designed to burn calories, build muscle, tone and strengthen the midsection and sculpt the legs. This total body workout includes a balanced mix of aerobics, Pilates style abdominal and leg exercises that emphasis toning the core and lower body while using a stability ball. The strength training for firming arms and your upper body will use three-pound dumb bells and a five-pound weighted ball.

Bring three pound hand weights to class with you for use during the strength training/toning, a five pound weighted ball as well a 65 cm size exercise ball. The class is offered on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:30 pm. All classes will be held at Tri-Beach.

The class will run for 12 weeks and cost $90 for residents and $95 for non-residents.
