Milford P&Z has busy agenda Dec. 5
The Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Board has a busy public hearing agenda at its Dec. 5 meeting, which will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall auditorium.
Grillo Services LLC is submitting a modified application for its proposed 342-unit apartment complex at 553 West Avenue. The board approved the project with conditions at its Oct. 3 meeting, including the requirement that 40% of the units, or 137 apartments, be rented at affordable rates.
Grillo is proposing a compromise with the board, offering to rent 108 units at affordable rates, an increase of five units from the state-required minimum of 30%, or 103 affordable units.
The board will conduct a public hearing on an application from Tribus Beer of Milford, which has applied for a special exception for a proposed brewing operation with an associated pub and patio at 100 Raton Drive. The hearing was postponed from the board’s Nov. 21 meeting.
Attorney Kevin Curseaden is applying for a special permit and site plan review for an outside storage and auto repossession yard at 0 Shelland Street, on property owned by Jordan Realty.
The 1.72-acre property is located in the Housatonic Design District (HDD). Jordan Realty LLC of Milford lists James R. Beard as member.
Curseaden is also applying for a special permit and site plan review for four dwelling units at 87 Golden Hill Street, which is located in the Milford Center Design District (MCDD).
Bella Properties LLC owns the 0.22-acre property, which it purchased on Feb. 2, 2017, for $165,000. The property has a 3,685-square-foot three-family house constructed in 1880. The LLC lists Daniel Green of Fairfield as its manager.
William Kenny, agent, is filing a petition for a boat ramp at 13 Sailors Lane, which is a 0.24-acre residential property with a single-family home owned by David and Meg Peterson. The property backs onto the Charles E. Wheeler Wildlife Management Area.
Jeff Attolino is the agent for a site plan and coastal area management site plan review for a new single-family home at 54 Cooper Avenue. Carmen Stefano is the owner of the 0.14-acre property, which is currently vacant land.
