The Planning and Zoning Board recently voted unanimously to approve an 8-24 referral recommending the sale of city-owned land at 13 Pomona Avenue to a neighboring property owner. The Board of Aldermen will review the recommendation at its July 11 meeting.

City Planner David B. Sulkis said the neighbor approached the city about purchasing land, which he said the city acquired in a tax foreclosure.

The city assessor values the land at $4,560. The aldermen will determine the actual sale price. The 0.06-acre parcel is 25 feet wide by 100 feet deep and is located between 9 and 21 Pomona Avenue.
