Milford Hospital will present Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Goran Miljkovic speaking about the Ebola virus on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m.
Dr. Miljkovic’s lecture is titled “Fears and Facts - What You Need to Know.”
“To date, the recent Ebola outbreak has caused thousands of deaths in West Africa, one in the United States and has recently infected several American healthcare workers,” hospital officials said in a press release issued Monday. “As information regarding the threat of the deadly virus continues to unfold and evolve on a daily basis, it is critical that the public is educated on the facts.”
Dr. Miljkovic will present information on the virus, how it is spread, and who is most at risk. He will also answer questions and address concerns.
“The goal of this program is to reduce anxiety, dispel myths and fears and raise awareness concerning Ebola,” hospital officials said.
The program is free and open to healthcare providers and the public. Pre-registration is welcome. Call the Milford Hospital Community Relations office at 203-876-4060.
