Meg Greene has been named December’s employee of the month in Milford.

The Selection Committee unanimously chose her as the winner for her outstanding customer service, professional and courteous manner, and excellent work performance.

Joe Griffith, director of the Department of Permitting & Land Use, nominated Greene after receiving a detailed letter of commendation from a resident explaining his unique situation and how Greene went above and beyond to assist him and provided outstanding customer assistance.

Greene began working for the City of Milford on Jan. 30, 2012, in the position of secretary in the Planning and Zoning Division of the Department of Permitting and Land Use.

“Greene is a consummate team player and always delivers superior customer service,” city officials said. “She has received numerous accolades for her assistance to patrons through the sometimes arduous process of complying with Planning and Zoning requirements.”

A press release about the award states, “The extraordinary effort Meg puts forth through her dedication, her diligent work ethic, and her pleasant and helpful demeanor are attributes that are truly appreciated by her co-workers and all who do business with Planning and Zoning.”
