Mayors tap Two Roads beer keg in honor of city foundings

There’s a long standing Bavarian tradition where every spring, the local mayor (or Burgmeister) taps the first keg of Maibock in a ceremonial kick off of the spring season.

People are invited to Two Roads in Stratford as Mayor John Harkins of Stratford, Mayor Ben Blake of Milford, and First Selectman Michael Tetreau of Fairfield celebrate the 375th anniversary of each of their respective towns by taking part in the tapping of the first keg of Two Roads’ “Hizzoner” Maibock this Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Residents are invited to come and enjoy the “malty and refreshing spring lager available in pints, growlers and tasters.”
