Lesley DiCocco, secretary in the mayor’s office, was named January’s employee of the month.

After a review of all of the nominations, the selection committee unanimously chose her as the winner for her outstanding work performance, professionalism and pleasant manner.

DiCocco began working for the City of Milford on Jan. 3, 2012.

DiCocco consistently performs her duties professionally and conscientiously, and is always eager to assist with any task that she is given, city officials said.

“Lesley, also known as the ‘proclamation queen,’ has become an expert at writing mayoral proclamations on a multitude of different subjects,” states a press release about the January award. “She does a large amount of research to make each and every one informative and special.”

DiCocco’s work ethic, dedication, and patience, as well as her friendly and helpful nature, make her an asset to the office, city officials said.

“She is appreciated by her co-workers and everyone with whom she comes into contact,” a city press statement reads.
