While it may have looked like there were a lot of brides on the Milford green Wednesday, they weren’t actually wedding parties gathering for photos, but rather participants in a workshop hosted by the Connecticut Professional Photographers Association.
Called ‘Dirty Hands Workshop - 20 Wedding Gowns,’ the event took place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 in downtown Milford.
Models were dressed and made up, and photographers got a chance to practice their wedding photography skills and experiment with different techniques. Most 'wedding parties' and photographers were gathered near the waterfall on the green behind City Hall.
The downtown green and waterfall is a popular place for wedding and prom photographs.
Founded in 1947, the Connecticut Professional Photographers’ Association (CTPPA) is composed of hundreds of professional photographers whose common goal is the ethical advancement of photography, according to the group’s website.
The CTPPA is an affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America.
