Thinklogical, a Milford-based company, presented the Beth El Center with a donation of more than $16,000 recently.

The donation was part of the annual Thinklogical Cares program, where funds raised by employees are matched by Thinklogical's CEO Joe Pajer and the company. This year's program was the most successful yet, raising $16,520 in addition to various food items, including stuffing, potatoes and vegetables, which were distributed just before Thanksgiving.

Thinklogical designs and builds computer and video signal extension and switching technology products used by broadcasters and government agencies at its headquarters and factory at 100 Washington Street. The company has been named a Top Workplace in Southern Connecticut for two consecutive years.

Thinklogical is staffed by 81 full-time employees and contractors, 65 of whom are based in Milford.

The staff wanted to give back to the Milford community and help local residents in need, one employee said. A few Thinklogical employees were aware of Beth El Center and their mission and decided it was the perfect recipient of a donation.

The Beth El Center's mission is to alleviate homelessness and hunger in the Milford area through shelter, support services, advocacy and community education in partnership with the faith-based community and public and private organizations.

Beth El Director Toni Dolan said the donation was extremely generous.

“Beth-El is thrilled to be chosen as the local non-profit recipient of this extremely generous donation from Thinklogical,” Dolan said. “We are in the middle of our annual appeal, so donations like this from corporations and supporters are so much appreciated. These funds will be used to support our food and shelter programs and services for Milford’s most vulnerable populations. During the holiday season, it is especially heartwarming to witness the generosity of this community.”
