The holidays can be overwhelming for many people. For those feeling lost in the holiday frenzy, grieving the loss of a loved one, or facing personal hardships, the holidays can be especially difficult.
A local “Longest Night Service” will be held Sunday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at Woodmont United Church of Christ, 1000 New Haven Avenue, “offering a moment of calm in the midst of the chaos, and a place of comfort in the darkness that grief and sadness often bring.”
All are invited to the non-traditional, candle-light service.
“We welcome all whose spirits seek a moment of quiet, meditative worship this holiday season,” church officials said.
