William “Will” Daley, library assistant at the Milford Public Library, was named  employee of the month for May.
After a review of all of the nominations, the selection committee unanimously chose him as the winner for his dedicated service and professionalism and outstanding customer service.
Daley began his employment with the City of Milford as a library assistant on Sept. 27, 2004.
“Daley’s exceptional technology skills have made him the go-to person when his co-workers have a question,” library officials said.
Daley continued his professional education and earned a graduate degree in library science.
“This has significantly assisted him in his ability to aid patrons in any department of the library,” according to a press release from the city. “He is always willing to lend a hand, and is the consummate team player. Whether he is filling in for a co-worker, assisting with cataloging or moving chairs, Will performs all tasks cheerfully and without hesitation. Will’s eagerness to assist patrons is demonstrated through the countless letters sent by patrons praising his work.”
The library staff said Daley brings with him dedication and professionalism to each and every task he performs.
“His unassuming manner, dry sense of humor and pleasant demeanor are qualities that make him genuinely appreciated by his library co-workers and patrons alike,” library officials said.
