Children’s Department
The children’s department at Milford Public Library, 57 New Haven Ave., is holding events the next few weeks. For information call: 203-783-3304.
Preschool story time — Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Stories and a craft. For ages 3 and up with a caregiver.                             
Toddler time   Every Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. For ages 2 and under with a caregiver.
Kind Storytimes — Monday, April 20 and 27 and Tuesday, April 21 and 28 at 10 a.m., in honor of the One City One Story initiative.
Saturday storytime  Saturday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m., songs, stories and a simple art activity.
Spring break
Tuesday, April 14 at 1 p.m. One City, One Story: The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig. Brian has always felt invisible at school, but everything changes when a new student arrives.
Thursday, April 16 at 2 p.m. for ages 4-6 and 3 p.m. for ages 7-10. Why the Willow Weeps: an interactive theater workshop presented by Creative Dramatics. Warm up with fun theater activities and stage your own production of this lovely tale.  Funded by the Friends of Milford Library.
Junior job fair — Saturday, April 18 from 10:30 a.m - 12:30 p.m. For all ages. With appearances by Mayor Ben Blake, the Milford Police K-9 unit, WTNH weatherman Sam Kantrow and his mobile weather unit and a Milford fire truck. Funded by the Friends of Milford Library. Food donated by Subway World Headquarters.
PAWS to Read —  Saturday, April 18 at 2:30 p.m. For children in grades K-5. Kids are invited to read out loud to some special library friends. All therapy dogs and their handlers are certified through Reading Assistance Education Dogs.
Stay and Play Thursday — Thursday, April 23 and 30 from 10 a.m. to noon. Stop by the library and play board games, build with LEGOs, do a simple art activity or play floor puzzles.
Creative writing for tweens — Wednesday, April 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. In honor of One City, One Story initiative. All skill levels are welcome. Call 203-783-3312 to register. For ages 9-13
