Father Charles Allen will lead a Lenten retreat at Saint Ann Church in Milford on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, Feb. 25, 26 and 27 beginning at 7 p.m.

Father Allen will offer his reflections on Old Testament, New Testament and contemporary views of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. Each session will close with benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

A former headmaster at Fairfield Prep, Father Allen has served as executive assistant to the president of Fairfield University since 1994.  He also serves as secretary of the university’s board of trustees and secretary of the Fairfield University Corporation.

Allen is a Boston native who earned degrees in philosophy from Boston College, and his MAT from Brown University. He has studied at Gregorian University in Rome, Italy, earning an STB in theology. In 1977, he earned an M.Ed. from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Father Allen has traveled the world since joining the Jesuits at age 17. His encyclopedic mind and his humor have made him a popular master of ceremonies for many community organizations, event organizers said.
