Law and Foran faculties battle each other on the basketball court to raise money for post prom

The faculties at Foran and Jonathan Law high schools will once again engage in battle in the 4th Annual Faculty Basketball Game to benefit both schools' post-prom activities.

The Foran faculty has a 2-1 lead in the overall series as both teams head into game four of the annual event.

“The rivalry between these two teams is really intense, intense to the point that one team coach told me they might have problems getting a team together because one of the players got a concussion last year,” joked event coordinator Tony Bonetti. “Bottom line is, these teachers go all out to give us an entertaining game.”

The annual event is conducted to benefit the Foran and Law post proms.

Parents at both schools put together major post prom events in order to give students a fun yet safe alternative to after-prom parties.

Last year, the Foran faculty took a two games to one lead by virtue of a decisive 60-53 victory…now Law has a chance to even the series on their home court.

The game is slated for Wednesday, March 20, at 7 p.m., at the Law gym. Admission for students is $3…adults $5… all proceeds from the game will be split between the two high schools for their post prom event.
