State Rep. Kim Rose (D-Milford), has been chosen to serve on the Boys & Girls Club of Milford’s Board of Trustees.
Rose will serve as an ambassador for the organization, promoting their efforts in the community as well as engaging and supporting their events.
“I am honored to have been asked to serve on the board of this outstanding organization,” Rose said. “It is exciting to see children working on developing the skills they need to be successful and having a great support system behind them every step of the way.”
The Milford Boys and Girls Club has been serving children since 2006. Their programs include education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, sports, fitness and recreation and character and leadership development.
Rose said, “Investing our time helping our young boys and girls reach their goals and become responsible members of our society is priceless. I look forward to working with this extraordinary group of dedicated individuals serving on the board, and helping in any way I can.”
Rose is serving her third legislative term in the State Legislature. She is House co-chair of the Housing Committee, and a member of the Children and Veterans Committees.
