Jonathan Law High School among this year's Chamber award winners
Jonathan Law High School is among the individuals and groups being honored this year at the Milford Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Awards of Distinction ceremony.
The event is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 13, at 11:30 a.m., at Grassy Hill Country Club in Orange.
Jonathan Law High School Principal Fran Thompson is named in the award program as the recipient of the Public Sector Award, but the program also salutes the school’s administration, staff, and the student body “for the compassion, inspiration, and resolve shown to the Milford school community and its citizens.”
Chamber officials said the award is being bestowed on the Jonathan Law High School community due to the way the school handled grief and reached out to the community after the tragic murder of student Maren Sanchez in April.
