Join National Water Dance at New Haven’s Lighthouse Point

NEW HAVEN — Elm City Dance Collective is inviting members of the community — no dance experience necessary — to participate in National Water Dance, a community water activism performance project that will take place simultaneously across the nation “to bring attention to the fragility of our waters.” The event takes place from 4 to 5 p.m. April 14 at Lighthouse Point Park.

The performance, which will begin at the lighthouse, is free, as is parking. Those less inclined to participate are invited to enjoy the performance as spectators. For more info, see or

National Water Dance is a nationwide collective of dancers and educators that uses simultaneous site-specific dance performances “with movers of all ages and experience” to make the public aware of critical water issues. This event will be live-streamed through its website.
