House on Merwin Avenue falls during elevation process
Various news sources report that one worker received minor injuries when the house fell.
According to city records, the three-family house is appraised at $108,000. It is 1,978 square feet and was built in 1930.
The city building department and OSHA are investigating, said Fire Department Spokesman Kyle Brotherton.
A number of houses in the area are in the process of being elevated following flooding from Hurricane Sandy and Tropical Storm Irene before that.
