The Bridgeport Police Department has launched an investigation into a report of a possible abduction attempt of an 11-year-old girl Tuesday morning.

Stratford Police are looking for two men who are suspected of burglarizing an apartment in June and stealing $8,000 and a watch.

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has identified the man who was killed after falling from a cliff at West Rock Ridge State Park Sunday night as Robert Anastasio, 26, of the Hamden area. His identity was confirmed through fingerprints and State Police records.

During the morning of Oct. 21, an off-duty Darien police officer observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspects in a burglary that had recently occurred just across the town border in Norwalk. According to police, this led to the recovery of a safe that had been stolen from a Talmage Road residence in Darien.
