Some in Milford are worried about the future of a Catholic elementary school.

The Redding Police Department are looking for a scam victim in their town. The department sent a message Monday asking for the community’s assistance in identifying the victim of a credit card scam or larceny.

The Stamford Board of Education voted 8-0 to fire former Stamford High School Principal Donna Valentine Monday night for failing to report suspicions that a teacher was having sex with a student.

In response to the New Years Eve fire at the Charles Street condominium complex that destroyed the homes and businesses of nearly 140 people, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim, and Frank Alvarado, Senior Area Manager of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), will announce today the opening of a temporary Disaster Loan Outreach Center at Margaret Morton Government Center in Bridgeport.

The Staples High School community is mourning the loss of 27-year old English teacher Cody Thomas who committed suicide over the weekend, according to Superintendent of Schools Elliott Landon.
