Gulf Street information meeting Monday
The City of Milford will host a community meeting to discuss the Gulf Street realignment and safety enhancement project on Monday, June 10, at 6 p.m. in conference room B of the Parsons Government Center, 70 West River Street.
The project is a federally funded and state administered Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program (LOTCIP) road realignment project designed to enhance pedestrian and vehicle safety along Gulf Street, according to Public Works Director Chris Saley.
“This project will realign the road to allow for safety enhancements such as additional sidewalks on both sides of Gulf Street through Dock Road, traffic calming measures to reduce the speed of vehicles, and to improve safety for students accessing bus stops and schools,” according to Saley's announcement about the meeting.
The meeting is a follow-up from the public information session held with Gulf Street area residents Feb. 26, 2018, Saley said.
