The first game in the annual crosstown doubleheader between Trumbull and St. Joseph was held at Fairfield University's Alumni Hall on Saturday, Jan. 9.
The game was carried live on the HAN Network (HAN.Network) and its affiliate websites, including TrumbullTimes.com and FCIAC.net.

The event is part of the 9th annual Officials vs Cancer fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society, with $1 from every $6 ticket sold donated to the cause. Fairfield County Board No. 9 of Approved Basketball Officials have raised more than $120,000 the past eight years. ACS fund-raising events will be taking place during the game.
The varsity girls' game tipped off at 6 p.m. St. Joseph is 4-2 (2-1), Trumbull is 5-1 (3-0). The boys' game followed. That game will be posted at its completion. (If you're watching this before 9:30 p.m., you can catch the boys at HAN.Network. Or later, visit our basketball page.)
