Football: New Canaan at Greenwich in Marinelli Bowl. 10.24.2015

This game is available on demand at: https://hersamsecure.com/on-demand/watch-on-demand/

Many FCIAC football fans circled Saturday, Oct. 24, on their calendars when the 2015 season schedule was released. It wasn't because of the long history between New Canaan and Greenwich; it was because new Greenwich head coach John Marinelli would be standing across the field from his father Lou Marinelli and a New Canaan Rams team he has spent most of is life standing with on Fridays and Saturdays each fall.

In case you missed the game, which was broadcast at live.HAN.Network — or want to watch it again — here’s the complete broadcast of the game (no spoiler alerts in this post).

New Canaan comes into the game 4-0 and with its sights on a FCIAC Championship rematch against Darien, which took care of Greenwich (2-2) a month ago in a game carried live on the HAN Network. You can read more about the New Canaan-Greenwich matchup, dubbed by the Connecticut media as the "Marinelli Bowl" in the game preview by HAN's Dave Stewart.
Before the game, HAN broadcast its two pre-game shows, FCIAC Tailgate and FCIAC Gameday, live from Cardinal Stadium that featured interviews with a Greenwich football captain and a sit down interview with New Canaan's Lou Marinelli about what it's like to face his son for the first time. Tailgate is hosted by HAN's Kate Czaplinski. Rob Adams and Dave Stewart hosted Gameday. And Rob and Chris Kaelin had the call of the game. You can watch both FCIAC Tailgate and Gameday, both presented by Budget Blinds of Greenwich, in the video below:

Along with daily news at 11 a.m. and sports talk at 2 p.m., the HAN Network’s live sports broadcasts over the next week include the FCIAC playoffs, which requires a paid subscription (details here).
