Elizabeth Miller will receive the National Parent Educator of the Year Award from the VNA of South Central Connecticut.
The award is presented by The Parents as Teachers National Center to Parent Educators who have provided outstanding work in their field.
The Parent Educator of the Year Award is presented to three parent educators nationwide who provide outstanding service to the families they see.
Miller has been a home visitor/parent educator with the VNA for four years. Her Program Manager, Pamela Lorenzo, nominated her.
“Elizabeth goes above and beyond her daily work for all of her families through building a supportive relationship and teaming up with the families to make each family the best prepared parents they can be,” Lorenzo said. “She tailors her work with each family depending on the child's age and the family’s needs.”
