Electric cars and more to see at city's energy fair

Milford residents are invited to view new electric cars, explore ways to reduce energy costs, and learn about a variety of local programs that can help reduce pollution, protect natural resources and strengthen the community.
Milford's Energy Advisory Board and the Milford Public Library will host an Energy and Environment Fair on Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Milford Library, 57 New Haven Avenue in Milford.
The fair will include exhibits of new electric cars and display tables where representatives from local energy and environmental groups will be available to speak about their programs and answer questions.
Among the many groups participating in the fair will be:
• Solarize Milford: Offering Milford homeowners an opportunity to install rooftop solar panels to cut electric costs
• Energize CT: UI's program to reduce energy costs through home energy efficiency
• Connecticut Audubon Society's Coastal Center
• Milford's Recycling Program
• The Connecticut Green Bank
• The Milford Environmental Protection Initiative
• The Wepawaug Watershed Alliance
• Milford Earth Day
The electric cars will be on display from 11 a.m. to noon.
This program is free and open to the public.
