Dave & Buster’s restaurant, which calls itself “The only place to eat, drink, play & watch sports all under one roof,” celebrated its grand opening on Monday, Nov. 5 with a ribbon cutting at its Connecticut Post Mall location.
This is the second Dave & Busters, which is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, to open in Connecticut and the 119th location overall, since being founded in 1982. The restaurant combines an elaborate menu with a wide variety of amusements, music and bright lights while also bringing nearly 300 new jobs to the Milford area.
“From all accounts, the fun starts here,” said Mayor Ben Blake, quoting from a Dave & Buster’s statement. “This place speaks for itself, good food, good drink and everyone will have a good time. It’s a good addition to the mall and the community. We look forward to many years of fun and partnership with Dave & Buster’s. Good luck.”
The 34,000 square-foot New American style restaurant, arcade and sports bar, features dozens of HDTV’s and more than 140 of the latest arcade games, including the brand new virtual reality game Jurassic World VR Expedition™, an interactive cinematic virtual reality (VR) game.
“We are thrilled to have Dave & Buster’s opening here in the Connecticut Post Mall, to have a best in class entertainment and dining place - we couldn’t be happier,” said Ken Sterba, the mall’s general manager. “It’s been a great month for us with Boscov’s last month and Dave & Buster’s this month, and with more to come in the future.”
“We are super excited to be here in Milford, it’s our second store in Connecticut,” said Bruce Crane, regional operations manager. “The first one is in Manchester and it’s super successful, we’re expecting even better things down here. We are happy the community is embracing us like they are and we are excited to be here.”
“With us coming to this area and with nothing like this in the area, we are ready to have some fun in Dave & Busters in Milford and to bring an amazing time to this community,” said William Painter, general manager of Dave & Buster’s in Milford.
The facility also offers private event space for any occasion including corporate meetings, teambuilding activities, parties and more.
