PROVIDENCE, R.I. >> Members of the Milford Performing Arts Center dance team, under the direction of Heidi Goldbach, returned home from the Elite Dance Challenge as grand national champions for their performance of the “Wizard of Ahh’s.”

The dancers were in the national competition against more than 100 other routines with a routine that incorporated tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and tumbling. The members were awarded an elite platinum for their performance and entered into the grand national dance-off, taking first place

The winning routine consisted of 25 members of the MPAC dance team ranging in age from 7 to 18 years. The routine was choreographed by Goldbach of Milford and associate teacher Sarah Hanke of West Haven. The studio at 280-A Quarry Road is celebrating its 21st year.
