DEEP says Gardner Lake, Millers Pond have reached capacity

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has closed two state parks after they reached capacity on Sunday.

Both Gardner Lake State Park and Millers Pond State Park are closed because the parking lots are filled to capacity, according to DEEP.

Millers Pond State Park is located in Haddam, while Gardner Lake State Park is in Salem.

DEEP announced the Gardner Lake closure around 1 p.m. and the Miller Pond closure around noon.
