Connecticut Sports Talk: Oct. 28
To wrap up another week of Nutmeg Sports, Donald Eng and Rob Adams break down the final seeds for the FCIAC boys soccer playoffs. With Greenwich's loss to New Canaan, Staples will travel to Darien to play the number two seeded Blue Wave on Thursday. HAN Network will have the call of that game, with live streaming video Thursday at 3:30.
In other news, the guys break down the upcoming weekend in football, including the Stamford/St. Joseph game that will be live streamed with video by the HAN Network. That game will air Friday night at 6:30, with FCIAC Tailgate at 3:30, and FCIAC Gameday at 4:30.
Rob and Don also discuss Game 1 of the 2015 World Series. While not a local story, Rob was curious to get Don's thoughts on the handling of the passing of Royals' pitcher Edinson Volquez. It seems that everyone in Kaufman Stadium knew the story except for Edinson Volquez himself. Social media covered it. FOX TV knew but kept it quiet. Rob and Don discuss it.
