Nutmeg Sports, HAN's Connecticut sport show, airs Monday-Thursday at 2 pm on HAN.Network, hosted by Frank Granito, Donald Eng and various HAN sports editors.

On the Wednesday, November 16, episode of Nutmeg Sports Frank Granito and Kevin Coleman breakdown all of the CIAC State tournament semifinal games as we head towards State Championship Saturday.

Frank and Kevin start with Danbury's 4-2 win over Shelton in the Class LL semifinal from Tuesday night. Our co-hosts are joined by HAN Sports Editor Mike Suppe who takes us through what happened on Tuesday night and offers his opinion on how Danbury matches up against 11 time state champion Farmington in Saturday's championship match.

Next Frank and Kevin invite Tim Murphy, Sports Editor for the Ridgefield Press, onto Nutmeg Sports to preview the Ridgefield girls soccer and volleyball semifinals on Tuesday afternoon. Tim analyzes how these two teams can have success and advance to their respective championships. Tim also talks Tigers football following a big win last Friday night that put RHS in the driver seat for the state tournament.

Finally New Canaan Advertiser Sports Editor Dave Stewart joins Frank and Kevin to preview the CIAC field hockey semifinals featuring Darien and Staples in class L, and New Canaan in class M.

Plus the Trumbull Pop Warner Rangers Junior Varsity Division team successfully defended its state championship with an exciting 8-6 victory over the Fairfield Giants on Saturday, Nov. 6. With the win Trumbull advances to the New England Regional semifinals in Portsmouth, R.I.on Saturday, Nov 19.
