Connecticut Sports Talk, May 9

It's a beautiful Monday outside, and the HAN Network will be at Harbor Yard for baseball for Fairfield Ludlowe and Fairfield Warde at 5 p.m. On a more serious note, Rob Adams and Donald Eng open this edition of the program by talking about underage drinking at sporting events, including two teenagers who were found intoxicated following the Darien/New Canaan boys lacrosse game on April 30.

Susan Shultz reported the story of the first teen in the Darien Times on May 6, while Kevin Webb followed up with a story earlier today on a second teen. Susan joins Rob and Don to discuss this story, and the topic of underage drinking.

Setting a happier tone, Rob and Don present the Athlete of the Week nominees, as well as name last weeks winners. Is it possible that there could be a repeat winner? Check out the show to see who won and who is up for this weeks title.

To finish the show, the guys preview the Ludlowe/Warde game by hitting the rewind button for interviews from the spring FCIAC tour. The Mustangs are in the thick of the FCIAC playoffs, while the crosstown Falcons would like to spoil things and beat their rivals for the first time since 2013.

The HAN Network, formerly known as Hersam Acorn Newspapers, is the exclusive FCIAC broadcast partner through the spring of 2018. HAN Network’s broadcasting division replaced with a new focus on live video streams of high school athletics along with the Network’s news and lifestyle programming.
