Nutmeg Sports, HAN's Connecticut sport show, airs Monday-Wednesday at 2 pm on HAN.Network, hosted by Frank Granito, Donald Eng and various HAN sports editors.

On the Wednesday, July 27, episode of Nutmeg Sports Frank talks Greenwich football with Head Coach Johnny Marinelli. Coach Marinelli goes into detail about the different 7 on 7 tournaments Greenwich has participated in and the success his team has had up to date.

Coach Marinelli explains the benefits to his team participating in five tournaments so far this summer, and how impressed he has been with the wins they've accumulated. From the Fordham 7 on 7 to the New Canaan Grip it & Rip it Tournament Greenwich has finished in the top 4 at 3 events this summer including at the Under Armour Connecticut Tournament two weeks ago. Greenwich was invited to the Northeast Regional Under Armour New England Championship this week at Milton High School in Massachusetts, competing against the top 12 teams from the New England qualifiers.

Coach Marinelli also talks about the renovation project taking place at Cardinal Stadium. New turf is being laid down and a new scoreboard is being installed, that has all of the Cardinal family very excited for the upcoming season.

Next Dave Stewart, sports editor of the New Canaan Advertiser, joins Frank Granito straight off the links to give a full recap of the 82nd Connecticut Open at Woodway Country Club in Darien.

Over 10 current and past FCIAC golfers participated in the open, Dave brings pictures, analysis and the full final results of the tournament to the show.
