Conklin posthumous diploma stalemate comes to an end, Himes on Trump, more

This week, Aaron Berkowitz joins Kate and Josh to discuss the Shelton High posthumous diploma debacle and the resolution just reached yesterday. Aaron gives a behind-the-scenes look at covering the story over the last few weeks.

The family of Eddy Conklin will receive a posthumous diploma at graduation. The decision comes after a, after a joint meeting between Superintendent of Shelton Schools Dr. Chris Clouet, the Conklin family, and Mayor Mark Lauretti.

On June 10 the Conklin family will hear Eddy’s name called during the list of graduates and they will receive an honorary diploma once the rest of his classmates cross the stage.

Later in the show, we play Congressman Jim Himes take on Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. We also look at some stories around the state we are following.

Finally, Cartoonist Doug Smith gets literary with his cartoons this week.
