Royal Arch Masons — Milford Chapter #49 Royal Arch Masons will hold a meeting on Tuesday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Masonic Lodge Hall, 59 Broad Street under the direction of the High Priest Richard Korab.

Dinner will be served in the banquet hall at 6:30 p.m. for members who make reservations with the secretary.

Masons — Ansantawae Masonic Lodge #89 A.F. &. A.M. will hold a meeting on Friday May 9, at 7:45 p.m. in the Masonic Lodge Hall, 59 Broad Street in Milford under the direction of Worshipful Master John W. Hanson. The Entered Apprentice Degree will be conferred on a class of candidates with J.W. Mike Nowlin presiding.

MS support group — The Milford MS Support Group meets at Milford Hospital at 1:30 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month.

St. Mary Guild — St. Mary Guild of Milford will meet May 13 in Father Cronin Hall in St. Mary Church at 70 Gulf Street. The business meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

Program Chairman Kitty Nelson has invited Diane Frankel-Gramelis from the Education Department at the Milford Hospital as their guest speaker. Her subject will be the greatest gift you can give yourself and others is the gift of health. Learn the steps to embrace wellness and the gift of health.

Also on the agenda, the Guild’s annual dinner and the installation of new officers. The date of the annual meeting is Monday, June 16 at Jeffrey’s Restaurant. Guild members may start making their reservations now.

All women of the Parish and guests are welcome at all meetings and functions of the Guild.

Eastern Star — LuciaChapter #25 Order of the Eastern Star will hold a meeting on Thursday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m., in the Masonic Lodge Hall, 59 Broad Street in Milford, under the direction of Worthy Matron Wendy Dubois.

The Initiatory Degree will be conferred on a class of candidates.

Retired women — The Retired Women's Club of Milford will hold a meeting on May 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Milford Senior Center. The speaker will be Diane Betkoski from Griffin Hospital. There will be a collection for the BBQ luncheon. This is an open meeting and other women are welcome to attend. New members are also welcome.

Refining retirement — Women Redefining Retirement will meet Monday, May 12, at 7 p.m. at Golden Hill Health Care Center, Bridgeport Avenue. A discussion of Charles Island and tidal opportunities to walk the island will be presented after a brief business meeting. The Action Committee will be collecting non-perishable food and socks for the homeless.

Garden Club — The Milford Garden Club will meet May 13 for The Merry, Merry Month of May, by Colleen Plimpton, a well known educator and entertainer. May is a very busy garden month and this interactive presentation demonstrates how to prioritize chores for maximum enjoyment and practicality including May color, what to do with bulb foliage, deer-deterring strategies, mulching, self-sowing annuals and more.
