City welcomes input on Transit-Oriented Development
Last year, the City of Milford announced the acquisition of property at River and High streets in Downtown Milford. The Downtown River - High Street Development Committee, along with consultants BL Companies, will now present highlights from the Transit-Oriented Development Market Analysis and ask for input on the creation of a development plan for the areas around and adjacent to the Milford Train Station.
The workshop will take place at Milford City Hall, 110 River Street, on Wednesday, June 14, starting at 6 p.m.
The agenda is as follows:
At 6 p.m. there will be a meeting and agenda overview. A presentation will take place at 6:15 p.m., where project background, purpose and process will be given, as well as existing conditions and economic analysis.
The first interactive exercise will begin at 6:45 p.m., and will focus on the assets and challenges for downtown Milford.
This will be followed with a presentation at 7:15 p.m. on trends, opportunities, and visions for the future.
The second interactive activity will begin at 7:30 p.m. and concerns envisioning Milford’s future. At 8 p.m. the audience and presenters will report back and there will be a wrap-up of discussions. At 8:40 p.m., there will be a brief closing, with the event concluding at 8:45 p.m.
