City okays selling piece of Myers Lane to adjoining landowner

The Board of Aldermen voted Monday night to sell a piece of land at the end of Myers Lane to Lisa Leso, an adjoining landowner, so she can construct a driveway and build a new single family home on the lot.

The decision followed several meetings, during which neighbors opposed the transaction.

When the aldermen voted during their meeting Monday night to approve the sale, they did so with the stipulation that there be a deed restriction stating that the land can only be used for a single family home.
