City offers training for nursing assistants

The City of Milford Employment and Training Office is offering a free eight-week nursing assistant program and is accepting applications for the class.
There are eligibility guidelines for this program. The first route of eligibility is for people 18-21 years of age that are economically disadvantaged and in one or more of the following categories: A high school dropout and/or basic skills deficient person; unemployed and/or underemployed with a poor work history; or a teen parent.
The second route of eligibility is for adults that are over the age of 18, that are economically disadvantaged. A high school diploma is not required.
