City names employee of the month for July

Lauren Pisacane, who works in the city’s human resources department, is the employee of the month for July.
The Selection Committee unanimously chose her as the winner for her outstanding work performance, dedicated service, strong work ethic, professional and positive attitude. The nomination was submitted by Lisa Diamond Graham, director of human services.
Pisacane began working for the city as a senior pension clerk on Aug. 13, 2001. The position later became pension administrator. On June 23, 2008, she took on a new role as the personnel department administrative assistant. While performing the duties required of her new position, she also continued the responsibilities of pension administrator. Once that position was filled, she trained the new pension administrator, city officials said.
In February, when the pension administrator position again became vacant, Pisacane assumed the additional responsibilities of the position. With the position now filled, she is helping to train the benefits specialist.
Most recently, Pisacane assumed a new role in the human resources department as a human resources generalist.
“Lauren’s cheerful and positive demeanor facilitates excellent working relationships with all city departments,” city officials said. “Always the consummate professional, Lauren responds to any and all requests with quick precision. Lauren goes above and beyond her professional responsibilities. She can be counted on to support her fellow city employees and consistently demonstrates a spirit of camaraderie.”
