Christ Episcopal Church

This church is taking a look at some of the hard questions of faith at its 'alternative' Sunday 5 p.m. service in the coming weeks. The five-week series (skipping Feb. 1) is: "Why do bad things happen?" Jan. 18; "Does God answer prayer?" Jan. 25; "Does everything happen for a reason?", Feb. 8; "Is the Bible true? Feb. 15; and "Does Jesus make a difference?", Feb. 22.

"The season of Epiphany is one that focuses on our growing awareness of God's light shining in the darkness," said the Rev. Kate Heichler, the church's assistant pastors. "We thought we'd look at some of the issues that most often get in the way of our faith and see if we can shed some light on them."

In addition to the 5 p.m. service each Sunday, Christ Church also offers more traditional worship at 8 and 10 a.m. each Sunday. The church is located at 526 Amity Road (Route 63) in Bethany (to the right of the blinking yellow light if you're heading north on Route 63). Call 393-3399 for more information.
