Catch Dr. Ivan Tirado's sculptures Saturday in New Haven

The Gallery at Elemar invites residents to the closing event of Torsos: The Art of Ivan Tirado, Saturday, Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m. The event will include an art discussion in which Dr. Iván Tirado, a Milford resident, will speak about the learning and healing benefits of art.

“Dr. Iván Tirado is a charismatic speaker who combines knowledge and experience in education in instructional design and learning psychology principles research and teaching, corporate training, and fine arts to captivate the audience,” according to a press release about the event. “His clever view of life with a flare of humor and stand up comedy experience promises to present an engaging and entertaining learning experience. His blog reached over 10,000 views in 2014.”

“TORSOS” is a tribute to natural female beauty and a celebration of physical differences. The exhibit features clay sculptures, paintings, and pencil sketches.

The Gallery at Elemar is the newest cultural destination in New Haven, dedicated to providing high quality art, wine, food, and conversation for mindful connoisseurs of fine living.

The gallery is located at 2 Gibbs Street in New Haven.
