Locket’s Meadow Farm will hold events
Locket’s Meadow Farm, a nonprofit farm animal rescue and sanctuary at 771 Litchfield Turnpike, will hold two events.
• 2-6 p.m. Oct. 16, at the Town Hall gym, 40 Peck Road, an all-you-can-eat celebration of the harvest of the pig tomatoes. Soul Jar will play rock ’n‘ roll during a dinner with five kinds of pasta, silent auction and basket raffle. Vegan sauces and gluten-free bread, pasta and dessert are available.
Cost is $30 for adults, $12 kids under 12. Tickets are available at www.locketsmeadow.org or through the Locket’s Meadow Facebook page.
• 3-6 p.m. Oct. 29, Halloween party, at Locket’s Meadow for children of all ages. Pony rides, crafts, trick-or-treating in the barn and refreshments. Come in costume and see the horses in theirs. Admission is $5 for adults, and children in costumes are free.

The Halloween Bash is 7-9:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Center Building Gym, 4 Meetinghouse Lane in Woodbridge.
Students in grades 7 and 8 living in Woodbridge and Bethany, as well as private school students, may attend.
The evening will include a DJ, pizza, games and raffle prizes, as well as mummy wrap, doughnut eating and costume contests, all for $5.
Parent/guardian chaperones are needed at events. Donations of bathroom tissue for the mummy wrap and raffle prizes are needed. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 203-389-3429 to volunteer or make a donation.
The event is sponsored by Woodbridge Youth Services and the town of Bethany.
Breast Cancer Awareness Day
Breast Cancer Awareness Day will be held noon-3 p.m. Oct. 15 at Empower Her, 41 Village Lane.
The event will celebrate women and their families whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.
Admssion and massages by Blue Buddha Integrative Massage are free.
The Cupcake Chick truck will be selling sweets, and Savino Vineyards will provide wine tastings for $5.
A silent auction will include items from local businesses, professional sports teams and Disney tickets.
Empower Her is a new nonprofit that aims to connect with, encourage and support women and girls to promote their social and emotional well-being.
Town committee picnic is potluck
The Bethany Democratic Town Committee will have a potluck picnic 4-7 p.m. Oct. 15 at the home of Melissa Spear and Roger Hathaway, 350 Amity Road.
