The Milford Senior Center Gospel Chorus, under the direction of Debra Fellenbaum, will present a holiday gospel concert, Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Milford Senior Center, 9 Jepson Drive.

On Friday, Dec. 29, at 9 Jepson Drive, Milford Senior Center will host a New Year’s Eve Party 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The music of Vinnie Carr will entertain party guests and a Chicken Parmigiana Dinner will be catered by Lasse’s Restaurant. THE AHRENS PROGRAM
The Ahrens Program provides recreation, nutrition and educational activities for older adults with cognitive impairments. The program also enables caregivers to have several hours of respite while the participant is being supervised by staff members and volunteers. The Milford Senior Center is open Sunday at noon till 4:00 p.m. for cards and bingo, billiards and special program events. The pool room is open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hot dogs are available at $1.50 each.
The Milford Senior Center offers lunch daily, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Lunch tickets may be purchased at the lunch window from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Lunch ticket prices: complete dinner- $3.00 includes soup and dinner- Sandwich only $1.25. Soup only $.50. A vegetarian meal is offered: tossed salad or Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich daily for $1.00. Salad of the day is available as a cold plate for only $1.00. All meals include hot coffee or tea, rolls with butter and dessert.
The Winter Wonderland 5 miler, hosted by the Milford Road Runners, takes place Sunday, Jan. 28, at Platt Tech High School, 600 Orange Ave., Milford.

Keeping Milford Warm Founder Kevin McGrath and the board of directors of the Milford non profit, conjunction with the Milford Kiwanis Club, have announced that the organization’s holiday fundraiser will take place at Grassy Hill Country Club on Saturday, Dec. 9.
Keeping Milford Warm was established to make sure that no Milford resident or Milford family would ever go without the assistance of heating their residence if they had no funds to pay for heating . The Organization services the whole city of Milford for those in need. The Milford Arts Council presents Open Mic Nites on the second Wednesday of each month, through May 9, 2018, 7-10 p.m. There will be no Open Mic Nites in December. Registration starts at 6 pm. All performing arts are welcome, singers, musicians, comedians, poets, magicians. If you have a talent to present, we want you to come.

The Milford Camera Club welcomes photographers of any age interested in the art of photography. The citywide weekly leaf pickup has begun.
Only leaves in paper bags will be collected. Paper bags , which are biodegradable and can be mixed with composted material, should be left at the curb away from regular weekly garbage and recycling bins. The city will not accept plastic bags; leaves in plastic will be left curbside.
City crews will pick up leaves until the first significant snowfall. Leaves may be bought to the transfer station on Oronoque Road, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Saturday. It is closed noon-12:30 p.m. daily for lunch.
