Boys Ice Hockey: New Canaan vs. Darien

Watch Darien and New Canaan boys ice hockey’s first meeting of the 2015-16 season, as was carried live on the HAN Network on Tuesday, Dec. 29. You can watch it for free, on-demand, below.

This is the first of meetings between the Blue Wave and Rams this regular season at the Darien Ice Rink. This one does not count as an FCIAC game — that will come in January.

With a large crowd in tight quarters, we were limited in our camera angles for this broadcast — which was frustrating after starting the season with great sightlines at Bennett Rink in West Haven. So keep that in mind as you watch the game below.

Upcoming games and more

The HAN Network will be covering numerous events throughout the FCIAC’s winter season, including ice hockey, basketball, wrestling, swimming and diving, and the conference’s postseason championships.

The next boys ice hockey broadcasts is Notre Dame-West Haven at Darien on Monday, Jan. 4.

Basketball and wrestling make their HAN Network debut next week with Ridgefield vs. Trumbull wrestling on Wednesday, Jan. 6, and Danbury vs. Norwalk boys basketball on Thursday, Jan. 7.
