Author Joan Wolf will discuss latest book, ‘Daughter of Jerusalem’

Milford author Joan Wolf will be coming back to where it all began when she speaks at the Milford Public Library on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m.

Wolf will be a guest speaker at the library's monthly Romance Book Club.

A native New Yorker, Wolf is a long-time Milford resident who began her writing career at the Milford Library — in longhand.

Since that time, she has published 46 novels.

Wolf will be discussing the writing process and her recently published book, Daughter of Jerusalem. It is the story of Mary Magdalene — her life before and after the death of Jesus.

“Mary is a fascinating figure, and has been so down through the ages,” said Wolf. “One of the reasons she is so remarkably interesting is that she is one of the very few women in the gospels who is actually named.”

Wolf said Mary Magdalene is a great woman who has been maligned and misunderstood for centuries.

Daughter of Jerusalem is a RT Book Reviews 2013 nominee for best inspirational romance.

After Wolf's presentation there will be time for questions.

This event is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. For more information, call the Milford Library at 203-783-3292.
