Audubon hosts canoe trips in salt marsh
There is still time this summer to take a guided canoe tour of the Charles Wheeler Salt Marsh at Milford Point. The trip offers the chance to see abundant wildlife, including this season's three Osprey chicks.
Canoeists enjoy vistas of the marsh, learn the basics of canoeing from an experienced instructor, and hear all about the history of the area, from Native American times to today.
Advance registration is required. Contact the CT Audubon Society Coastal Center at Milford Point for more information: 203-878-7440. Bring water, and wear shoes that can get wet.
