Arthur (Art) Calabrese, PC/LAN/WAN Coordinator in the MIS Department, has been selected as Employee of the Month for October 2017.

As the recipient of the award for the Mayor’s Employee of the Month Program, please join us in extending a warm congratulation to Art in receiving this recognition, a statement from the mayor’s office said. “After a review of all of the nominations, the Selection Committee unanimously chose him as the winner for his outstanding customer service, professionalism and teamwork.

Art began his employment with the City of Milford on Oct. 11, 2005, as the PC/LAN/WAN Coordinator for the city’s Police and Fire Departments. He is responsible for resolving issues that arise in Dispatch as well as the Police and Fire Departments as a whole.

“Art works tirelessly to keep the equipment up to date and running as smoothly and efficiently as possible, addressing malfunctions in a timely manner. Art is known to be very helpful and responsive to even the smallest of issues, always following through and taking the time, when needed, to explain technical details and answer all questions.

“Through his innovative ideas, Art continually keeps the Dispatch/Communications Room running smoothly using any and all technical advances possible. Art exemplifies the type of employee the City of Milford appreciates and relies on to provide competent service. These are just a few of the many reasons the Mayor extends his sincere congratulations and appreciation to Art for the outstanding attributes he exhibits as Employees of the Month,” the statement said.

The Employee of the Month Selection Committee is encouraging us all to submit nominations for their consideration. There are always opportunities to identify individuals who are doing exceptional work; you can recognize them by submitting a nomination. Going forward, the Committee has decided to keep the nominations anonymous. When you submit a nomination, if the employee is selected, he or she will be recognized, but the name of the person making the nomination will not be disclosed. Please keep the nominations coming in.
