The Milford Recreation Department will hold its annual Gigantic Tag Sale and Bake Sale Fund Raiser on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. under the Fowler Field Pavilion on New Haven Avenue behind Milford Public Library, rain or shine.
The fund raiser benefits the Milford Recreation Department’s Benson-Crump Memorial Community Gardens Program, the oldest community gardens in southeastern Connecticut.
There will be more than 45 tables of items, including tools, toys, kitchenware, loads of paperback and hardcover books, sporting goods, artwork, jewelry, small furniture, holiday items, CD’s, DVD’s and lots more.
Tables are still available to rent and individuals interested in renting one or more to sell their items can do so for $20 per table.
All $20 rental table fees will go directly towards the Benson-Crump Memorial Community Gardens Program.
There will be a special basket drawing for several gourmet and theme baskets, and a bake sale containing coffee cakes, many cookie varieties, fruit pies, tea breads, brownies, and more. Hot coffee will be for sale as well.
For more information or to rent one or more tables, contact Benson-Crump Community Gardens supervisor Mrs. Ball by email at ball13@sbcglobal.net or by voicemail at 783-3280 x8 by Wednesday, April 23rd. You may also stop by the Milford Recreation Department in the Parsons Complex on 70 West River Street in Milford on Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to fill out a tag sale table registration form. Tables go very quickly, so register early.
